A PUMPKIN FARM IN THE USA: BY AMETS

                                      

In October we go to a pumpkin farm. We choose a big pumpkin or two Halloween.

There are many different types of pumpkins. Pumpkins have names; for example: Baby boo, Cinderella, Big Max and Atlantic Giant.
The pumpkin we use at Halloween is called the Connecticut Field Pumpkin. 

In October there are pumpkin competitions in the USA. The giant pumpkin in the photograph was the winner of one competition.




Pumpkin farms are very famous in USA. Some farms even arrange visits for schools.They spend the whole day on the farm. 

In USA they use the pumpkin for decorations and pumpkin pie.They love decorating their houses for Halloween with pumpkins and candles.
