Spain is a country in Europe, next to Italy. The capital is Madrid and the official language is Spanish but there are more languages like Catalan, Asturian, Valencian, Galician, Basque... 

There are a lot of traditions in Spain: Flamenco, bullfights, San Fermines in Pamplona, Semana Santa, " Las Fallas De San Jose" in Valencia, la tamborrada in San Sebastian... La tamborrada is a celebratory drum  festival held every year on January 20th. At midnight, in the Konstituzio Square in the Old Town, the mayor raises the flag of San Sebastian. The festival lasts 24 hours, one day.

68% of Spaniards self-identify as Catholic Christianity. Most Spaniards do not participate regularly in religious worship.

 You can visit  Cuidad de las artes y las ciencias in Valencia, Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Gran Via in Madrid, Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona, Las Ramblas, La Concha beach and El Peine de los vientos in San Sebastian and so on.


Potato omelette, el gazpacho in Coruña, Paella, La Tarta de Santiago in Galicia are the typical food in Spain.

 Spanish people are good at football, basketball, tennis, Moto GP1, " Eskupilota"... There are a lot of famous sportsmen such as Iniesta, Iker Casillas, Cesc Fabregas, Puyol, Pique, Ramos...
