A dog race in Alaska by Carlota

On 13th February,a very unusual race is rum between Alaska and Canada: the Yukon Quest huskies and their mushers participate this competitions.
SPECIAL TRANSPORT
Mushers have special trucks to transport their dogs.The dogs have separate compartments in the truck.

 
A DIFFILCUT RACE 
The dogs run 65 kilometres every day.It is a diffilcut race.When the dogs stop,a veterinarian examines them.
THE YUKON QUEST
 The Yukon Quest is a sled-dog race in Alaska and Canada.The mushers have 8 to 14 dogs.They race 1,650 kilometres on.
DOG BOOTEES
The dogs have special bootees.The bootees protect them from the cold.
FOOD AND SLEEP
The dogs stop to eat and sleep three times in a day.They sleep on straw,because snow is cold and its diffilcut to sleep on it.
