Biscuits from Germany by Lucia

INGREDIENTS: 

·1 egg

·55g butter

·55g brown sugar

·4 tablespoon honey

· 225g flour

·1 teaspoon baking

·30g cocoa powder


METHOD:

FIRST, grease a baking sheet with butter. Separate the eggs and put the yolks in to a bowl you don´t need the egg white.

 

NEXT, turn on the oven. Put the honey, butter and sugar in a pan over a low heat. Stir them until the butter has melted.


LATER, sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and mixed spice into a mixing bowl. Add the egg yolk.


THEN, mix the melted butter, honey and sugar into the flour. Squeeze the mixture into a ball o dough with your hands.


AFTER, sprinkle some flour onto a clean worktop and onto a rolling pin. Roll out the dough until it is half thick.


FINALLY, bake the biscuits for seven to eight minutes, until golden. Then, lift them onto a wire rock leave them to cool.
