THE LONDON BUS by Maite
There are 8000 buses in London. They are red and they carry six million passengers every weekday. There are 700 different routes. In a year the buses can cover about 45 million kilometres.
A London bus has two floors. Its name, is a double-Decker bus. It's because the floors on buses are called decks.
Tourists often go to London to see this bus. You have a better view in the second floor. You can see: Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, The Houses of Parliament, Piccadilly Circus...
The bus is good because you can get around London. You have less traffic problems; if you have to go to central London in your car you have to pay a toll. You can leave your car on the outskirts and you can get the tube or the bus.
